dance is possibly the most frustrating thing in the world.
i had a performance in wayne today and it went horribly. i did the solo that pat choreographed for me. i have been working on it all this year and i have performed it multiple times, especially for college auditions, where it went swimmingly.
so i guess that’s why i am so dissapointed.
during tech, it felt fine. some parts were a little shaky, but according to pat, my tech was the best she has ever seen it. i felt nervous before going on, and i wish pat would have yelled at me, or just put my mind at ease before i went to go do it, but i also know i can’t rely on her forever, and i can’t be comfortable hiding the corps forever.
i think the worst part about this whole thing is that pat was there to see it. there is no one i hate dissapointing more that her. we’ve been working together so hard this year, and just to feel like that all was a waste in one performance is the worst feeling in the world.
also to make things worse, i currently have no place to live come april. who knew finding an apartment in fucking chestnut hill/mt. airy would be so god damn difficult.

when i go to smu next week
i want to find out about frat/sororities as well as some extra things with the dance department. aka what if you don’t do pointe, or do not want to take it….
can you just take an alternative ballet class?
also what is casting like?
is it super competitive?
what choreographers are they bringing in next year…..
also i want to know about class size, because i know lasts years class was huge….
i am sad i don’t get to stay the weekend though, because if i did, i could do destination smu….WAHHHHH.
