» I love when schools take back scholarships.

I don’t usually flat out say it, but I’m smart and wealthy. I’m smarter than most of the kids at my school. My mom and my dad have big houses, we drives luxury cars, we go on expensive vacations, and we have nice things. I’m not saying that I deserve a full ride to any school, but neither does a poor kid who’s just as intelligent as I am. If I’m white and live in a six thousand square foot house and another kid is black or Mexican and lives in an apartment, what’s the difference between us? Nothing. I understand that racial quotas are meant to prevent racism, but they’re just over compensating and making it more difficult to be white. I don’t understand why I could go to pretty much any school that I wanted to for free if I was 1/4 Native American. Maybe I’ll marry a foreigner so that my kids have the best of both worlds.
I know that rant didn’t really have anything to do with that email. But still, it makes me angry. Not sorry if I offended you~
honestly, get the fuck out. this just made me so mad. if you live in a 6000 sq/foot house and you have openly admitted that you are smart and wealthy, (key word being wealthy) and thus i am assuming you probably had the world handed to you, the opportunities of a private education, etc, then yes, you really don’t need to have a scholarship to any school. if you are that WELL off, i am sure that daddy and mommy have a said trust-fund or they have the ability to pay for your entire college education while still living comfortably. the fact that you have the balls to question or even criticize native americans of all people, (you know, those people who literally had their women raped, land stolen from them, and ancestors killed in front of their eyes, and who continue to live in poverty under the american government who are supposedly doing them a “favor”) while your mommy and daddy enjoy a nice tax cut from the american government, then you can just honestly go jump off a cliff. thanks.

honestly, i laughed while i read this. i’m sorry that you’re annoyed by the fact that my parents probably worked harder than yours to become more successful. there are just a few things i’d like to point out though. my parents are actually divorced and have been since i was three. my dad isn’t contributing towards the expenses of college at all. i also do not have a trust fund, or a single penny saved towards my college education. sure my parents could live comfortably if they have to pay for my college out of their paychecks, but they’ve earned the right to live as comfortably as they’d like. if they have to live a little less comfortably, so should your parents. even if that means from comfortable to not. i would have no sympathy. i wish everyone would give the native american card a break. i’m so sorry that my ancestors may have killed some native americans over a century ago. actually i’m not, but that’s beside the point. my point is, why do only native americans get this reward? what about enslaved african and latin americans? what about descendants of the victims of the rape of nanjing or the armenian genocide? what makes them ineligible for these automatic full rides? plenty of people have had their land invaded and conquered during the history of the world, but that’s just part of life. i haven’t met a single person with native american heritage that has been discriminated against or still feels the pain on their ancestors. but i sure have heard them talk about the benefits when it comes to college! did you know that my parents pay at least 33% of their salaries in taxes? seems pretty ridiculous to me. especially when some people don’t have to pay taxes! i’d rather not jump off a cliff.. instead i’ll just become more successful than you and build a house on it. with a resort style pool in the backyard, multiple mercedes in the garage, and a boat and some jet skis at the dock.

you’ve got to be kidding me. really. the fact that you had the nerve to say that your parents worked harder than mine. my mother worked her ASS off throughout her lifetime as a single parent to provide for me and allow us to live a very comfortable life similar to yours. she had to pay her own way through college with no assistance from her parents and then had to pay to continue her education throughout her lifetime. she too is white, but never had a damn complaint about it. there are more races than just native americans who benefit from the atrocity of the american past including african americans and latin americans. HAVE YOU NOT HEARD OF the national hispanic recognition program or the national achivement scholarship program you asshole. seeing as though your parents have the ability to live comfortably while paying for college out of there paychecks, this is why every elitist college your applying to has taken no pity on you, compared to some poor, racially ethnic child who will be the first to attend college in his or her family. and the fact that you had the nerve to say it’s difficult to be white….
